Pokey LaFarge Omaha Concert reviews
Great Concert
Rod Stewart was excellent on stage, as always. Instead of spending several hundred dollars for tickets, we tried something different this time by sitting in the upper balcony off to one side. There were a couple of issues, though, while the seats were good for most of the performance. For a couple of his songs, a single spotlight from high in the back of the audience lit the stage, creating a very bright reflection due to the reflective finish around the drummers, making it impossible to see Rod and the performers near him from where we were seated. The other issue was with the jumbo screens behind the performers. The main set of larger screens on the bottom was obstructed by a set of smaller screens across and in front of them at the top of the stage from the higher up balcony seats. The top row of screens cut off almost half of the lower set of screens, only showing the performers from the waist down on the larger jumbo screen. I would not recommend any seats in the upper level balconies (level three or four) if you have a desire to actually see what is going on at this venue, the Colosseum at Caesar鈥檚 Palace in Las Vegas. Overall, the concert was great.
